Sleeping giants

It won’t be long before these tree ferns emerge from their winter sleep to produce their magnificent fronds growing up to 2 metres in the year. If you are lucky enough to live in coastal Cornwall or other areas that don’t get too much frost (below -5C) you wouldn’t have to bring Dicksonia antarctica inside forthe winter, we’re not so lucky.
