Working with the environment is at the heart of all of my work. From pruning and opening up tree canopies to managing turf and meadows the aim is to always have a positive impact. The trees in Wistmans Wood on Dartmoor are a fragment of ancient temperate rainforest and a wonderful example of a natural ecosystem. The trees in the image are also in a garden in foothills of Dartmoor National Park. These trees had not been pruned for several years. By opening up the canopy and allowing light and air to move freely through the tree can now breath easy. Simple things can make a big difference.
