The balance between planting design and management of the longterm scheme is extremely important to project success. Will a scheme be maintained in its original state or encouraged to develop and evolve? This balance and recognition can make or break a planting and overall garden design.
The connection between the designer and the manager of the scheme is often overlooked. This relationship is also rarely covered in textbooks with most gardens being designed for the here and now. This is a relationship that i will be looking at in the coming months and would love to discuss further.
